EVENT POSTPONED TO SAT 22ND FEB
Due to the unprecedented bushfire conditions we are saddened to announce the Port Macquarie Beer & Cider Festival has been postponed for 2019 and has a NEW DATE of Saturday 22nd February 2020.
We were hoping the fires would be out by now and we’d all be shouting our legendary Fire Fighters a beer at the festival this weekend. But, with this week’s weather predictions and personally knowing so many affected it’s hard to promote an event when you know so many of your community are hurting. We want to push back the festival to February to give the town enough time to recover and focus on doing our bit to help in the mean time. We apologise to any of those who may be put out but hope you can understand under the circumstances.
All current ticket previously purchased will remain valid for February 22nd event. Anyone that can not make the newly scheduled date can receive a full refund. Ticketek will email you shortly about your options.
Tickets for the new date are online now and available for purchase.

Having recently announced its eagerly anticipated return – after a brief hiatus in 2017 – the beloved Port
Macquarie Beer & Cider Festival has officially served up its first round of live music acts for 2020. Taking to the stage from 2:00pm until the event calls for ‘last drinks’ at 7:30pm is Hunter Valley based artist William Crighton, who’s heartfelt indie-folk has been developing a major following around Australia. Performing alongside William Crighton is blues and roots local Mitch King, Jangle-pop 5-piece
The Butlers, Barrell House and east coast shredder Minnie Marks.
In addition to a smorgasbord of amazing live and local music, the festival will also be armed with some of Australia’s best Beer and Cider makers, including Currumbin Water’s Balter Brewing, Byron Bay legends Stone &Wood, Wicked Elf, Capital Brewing Co, Franks Cider and plenty more.
Set with the serene Hastings River as backdrop, the event will be held Saturday Feb 22, showcasing a spectacular and diverse range of brews. More than fifty different beers and ciders are set to be represented, from a selection of the finest brewers both locally and Australian-wide.
This year’s festival will also see the return of the ever popular Mid North Coast Beer Keg Toss with the return of previous champions hoping to retain their title. This, our nod to the long tradition of the Highland Games, the Beer Keg Toss relies on a combination of technique, timing and pure power to succeed. Festival organisers are looking for the best male and best female to take out $600 in cash and prizes. Competitors should register early to avoid disappointment via the website. Qualifying heats will be run throughout the day and the penultimate final will decide the winner.
The family event will feature the regions very best gourmet food market stalls, games and live music. The games area will be bursting with activities to keep kids of all ages entertained with a jumping castle, Bocce set up, giant Jenga play, plus lots more.
We also have something a little special just for the ladies.
A special bus timetable will ensure attendees can enjoy the afternoon of tastings without having to worry about driving home.
The Port Macquarie Beer and Cider Festival will kick off at 1pm and go through until 7:30pm.
