DCUP

After getting signed to prominent Australian dance label Sweat It Out after just one demo record, DCUP worked to build a unique brand of addictive dance electronica, bursting with power synths and sugar coated hooks, DCUP has now become synonymous with the nu-disco tag. With 2010’s monumental success of ‘Me No Speak Americano’ ,DCUP and collaborators Yolanda Be Cool quickly took the club scene by storm. As the springboard for DCUP’s international career, the song garnered more than 50 million plays on YouTube, giving MacLennan an audience far wider than he thought possible.

Through all the success of his shimmering electronic euro funk, McLennan’s collaborating once more with Yolanda Be Cool on their latest release, ‘Sugar Man’. Reinvisioning the classic 1970’s tune by Rodriguez, ‘Sugar Man’ promises to be their most dynamic track yet.

With new music in the works for 2015, DCUP “would like to make music that makes people join hands.” The future for DCUP is bright, with many more tunes in the pipeline – the world is excited to see what’s going to come next.

For one night only DCUP rolls in to Beach House at Port Macquarie Saturday 13th June

Donavan Frankenreiter

Hawaii-based singer/guitarist/songwriter Donavon Frankenreiter will be undertaking a gigantic 17 date tour around his Bluesfest appearance.

An accomplished musician, surfer, and renowned for his iconic moustache and quick-witted humour, Frankenreiter’s tour will be focusing on the great surf towns of the country and regional Australia, anticipating a richer experience of people and place than the standard capital-city run that most international acts stick to.

The Australian Top 40 favourite will be performing material from his fifth full-length album Start Livin’ as well as old fan favourites. The follow-up to 2010’s popular ‘Glow’ is a selection of folk-infused songs that sweetly showcase Frankenreiter’s rich, honey-thick vocals and masterful guitar work. Start Livin’ bears all the intimacy of an impromptu back-porch performance and the tenderness of a treasured love letter, but also has a feel-good, up-tempo vibe throughout, including the title track that calls the listener to celebrate the moment.

We can’t think of a better guiding light for a live music experience and fans of his infectious, acoustic tunes will have plenty of opportunities to see him. This is sure to be one of the feel-good highlights of 2015 live music.

JEFF MARTIN

After a hugely successful Australian & Canadian tour with The Tea Party, JEFF MARTIN will embark on a National Australian tour throughout March and April in solo mode.

It was a mammoth year for Jeff Martin in 2014.  The Tea Party frontman teamed up with The Superjesus’ SARAH McLEOD on their National ‘Man The Life Boats’ Tour, hit the studio with his fellow Tea Party bandmates for the recording of their first album in ten years, the critically acclaimed ‘The Ocean At The End’, sold out Theatre shows in both Canada & Australia and.  The fans were out in droves to capture the magic of the band that once was, and still remains and saw Jeff Martin completely in his element, with a fire in his head performing at his absolute finest alongside his fellow band mates.  The latter part of the year saw Jeff producing forthcoming records for local Australian artists The Black Diamond Express, Lepers and Crooks and Revelator (watch this space) and with a bunch of new material under his belt, Jeff will hit the road to perform around the country through March and April 2015.
