The legendary Sevendust returns to Australia and New Zealand in April 2019 – presented by MJR Presents and 24/7 Metal and Rock station/app The FactionSevendust are coming to celebrate their 2018 Rise Records release All I See Is War – a record that has energised fans all over the world.

The iconic five-piece hard rock/metal outfit will visit Auckland, NZ’s Powerstation Tuesday 23rd April, then head on to Australia, kicking off the AU leg Thursday 25th April at The Tivoli, Brisbane, then on to The Metro in Sydney on Friday 26 April, The Forum in Melbourne on the 27th, The Gov in Adelaide on the 29th and then finish the tour in Perth at Capitol on the 30th April.

Hysteria Mag said that All I See is War is “…heavy, angry yet vulnerable … the reasons why Sevendust continue to resonate with an ever-widening audience“. Guitarist for the band, Clint Lowery, says of their extremely dedicated fanbase – “We take pride in the connection we have – We’ve always been a people’s band. We’re typical guys who just happen to make a career on stage. With this relationship to the fans, we realize how much we need each other, so we push ourselves to deliver. We don’t stop. We keep moving.

Sevendust first forged a familial tie amongst each other in 1994 that translated into one of the most die-hard audiences in the game. To this day, the connection between fans and the GRAMMY® Award-nominated gold-certified hard rock outfit only grows stronger. For their twelfth full-length and first release for Rise Records All I See Is War, the quintet—Lajon Witherspoon [lead vocals], Clint Lowery [lead guitar, backing vocals], John Connolly [rhythm guitar, backing vocals], Vince Hornsby [bass], and Morgan Rose [drums] – did the best thing they could possibly do to combat all of the division in the streets and on social media; they went and made a Sevendust record—just bigger, ballsier, and bolder than before – and they couldn’t be more excited to bring it to Australia and New Zealand.

A trifecta of now-classic gold albums—Sevendust [1997], Home [1999], and Animosity [2001]— ignited their journey. Known as an equally intense and unforgettable live force, they’ve consistently packed houses around the world and decimated stages everywhere from Rock on the Range and Woodstock to OZZfest and Shiprocked! 2015’s Kill The Flaw represented a high watermark. Bowing at #13 on the Billboard Top 200, it scored their highest debut on the respective chart since 2010 and marked their fifth consecutive Top 10 on the Top Rock Albums Chart and third straight Top 3 on the Hard Rock Albums Chart. Most impressively, the lead single “Thank You” garnered a nomination in the category of “Best Metal Performance” at the 2016 GRAMMY® Awards, a career first. All I See Is War represents yet another new beginning and new point of connection for fans.

CAST

CAST TO BRING ‘GREATEST HITS
TOUR’ TO AUSTRALIA IN 2019

Due to unforseen circumstances, 90s Britpop legends CASThave been forced to reschedule their Australian shows.

Originally set to kick off in early February, the trip down under will now be postponed until October, when fans will get the chance to hear the band’s greatest hits, plus other firm crowd favourites.

We were all dead excited about getting over to Australia and finally performing for our fans down underSaid John Power. I know we’re going to want to make up for lost time and show you all what a great live band we are, so I’m expecting the band to be on fire when we get down there in October!”

Originally formed in 1992 from the ashes of two of the most legendary and lauded guitar bands of all time, The La’sand Shack, Cast released four albums, had ten top 10 singles and were described by Noel Gallagher as ‘a religious experience’ after seeing them live, before disbanding in 2001.

Their 1995 hit record ‘All Change’ became the biggest selling debut album of all timefor Polydor Records, and helped the band secure fan bases around the world. A decade after splitting, the bands original line-up reunited with original producer John Leckie (Stone Roses, Radiohead, The Fall) for their new record ‘Troubled Times’.

Tickets to the bands original shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth will still be valid, however fans that can no longer attend shows in October will be entitled to a refund.

RITA ORA ADDS KIM PETRAS AND SAMMI CONSTANTINE TO AUSTRALIAN TOUR

With just days until her national Australian tour kicks off, pop sensation Rita Ora adds both Kim Petras and Sammi Constantine as special guest for her Australian shows.

Kim Petras, who was announced to perform at the iconic Sydney Mardi Gras, and just recently sold out her intimate Australian headline shows moments after going on sale, will now join Rita Ora as a special guest at Rita Ora’s Brisbane show at Eatons Hill.

Australia’s own Sammi Constantine, who’s recent singles ‘Watch Yourself’ and ‘Feel Your Body’ have received praise around the country, was also selected by Rita Ora to join her on her capital city run of Australia. Sammi will support Rita Ora at all Australian shows.

Having performed on some of the world’s biggest shows, including ‘Kimmel’ and ‘Ellen’ and the most prestigious stages, from Glastonbury to The White House and even The Vatican, the Kosovo-born, London-raised pop prodigy will land in Australia on March 1 where she’ll showcase hits from her most recent record ‘Phoenix’ as well as fan favourites.

Having become one of the world’s most globally recognised and successful women in pop music since signing to Jay Z’s ‘Roc Nation’ in her teens, Rita Ora has continued her meteoric rise; with hit singles including the Drake-penned “R.I.P”, “Doing It” with Charli XCX, ‘Your Song’, ‘Let You Love Me’ and the Fifty Shades Freed hit ‘For You’ all proving why Rita is one of pop music’s most prominent figures.

James

MJR in Association with Solo and Vector Presents

After selling out their first ever trip to Australia in 2016, James are preparing for a triumphant return in 2018 with their ‘Living in Extraordinary Times Tour’. This time the band are sporting a brand-new album ‘Living in Extraordinary Times” as well as all their swag of British classics.

James’ 1993 hit ‘Laid’ became the soundtrack to early 90s alternative radio before finding a second life through its use in teen hit American Pie films. James had already had a decade of hits by the time Laid arrived, having risen from Manchester’s legendary Factory Records scene into one of the biggest UK bands in the world by the dawn of the 90s. With alternative hits in Australia including Laid, Sit Down, Sound, Getting Away With It (All Messed Up), She’s a Star and Just Like Fred Astaire, and selling over 25 million records worldwide, the band were triple j staples for over fifteen years, yet took nearly three decades to hit Australian shores.

2016 saw the release of Girl at the End of the World, their most commercially and critically successful album for nearly twenty years, which came close to knocking Adele’s 25 off the prized number 1 spot of the UK album chart.

With sell out shows, great reviews and mad fans, some travelling across Australia to ensure they didn’t miss a single show, a return visit was inevitable.

‘Looking forward to playing to the boys and the girls at the end of the world again (from our corner of the world). if you enjoyed our last trip, evangelize this one to your friends, and we can make this a regular liaison,’ said Tim Booth.

“The vibe in every room was just electric and every night was different to the last. We can’t wait to get back there and do it all again, this time with our ‘Living in Extraordinary Times’ record.” said Jim Glennie.

The album seems to touch upon contemporary fissures in society, with Tim Booth commenting: “We knew something was up when Leicester city won the league then Brexit, then Trump. It is as if we’d slipped into an alternate reality, a Philip K Dick reality. We are living in extraordinary times.”

The tour will visit Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth as well as taking James to Adelaide for the very first time.

“Sometimes rounds off James’s first ever Australian gig and there wouldn’t be many in the audience who didn’t feel privileged to be there.” – The Sydney Morning Herald

“As the band left the stage for the final time, they promised not to wait 35 years next time. Let’s hope they hold true to their word.” – Scenestr

“Australia has really been missing out. It’s taken 34 years for Manchester alt-rockers James to visit Australia, but they made it worth the wait.” – The West Australian
