AIR

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of its release, French duo AIR will be performing their iconic album Moon Safari in full along with other favourites in an exclusive one-off show at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

Twenty-five years ago, two young French musicians embarked on a journey through the pop cosmos – and came back with a romantic masterpiece.

Melding lush electronics, swooning songcraft and irresistible European retro-futurism, Moon Safari contains a universe that continues to lure listeners with its gorgeous, starry-eyed sonic wonder. Now, to celebrate the album’s 25th anniversary, AIR returns to Melbourne to perform their iconic debut in its entirety, immersing the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in their singular soundscape.

Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel were university students studying astrophysics and architecture when they combined their musical talents to form AIR in the mid-’90s. Released in January 1998, their full-length debut Moon Safari became a pop culture sensation, selling millions of copies and launching the inescapable hits “Sexy Boy”, “Kelly Watch the Stars”, and “All I Need”.

It would become a defining soundtrack of the era, transfixing the likes of David Bowie, Beck and Madonna, and influencing such artists as Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, Charlotte Gainsbourg and filmmaker Sofia Coppola – with whom AIR would soon collaborate on music for The Virgin Suicides.

The record topped the year-end lists of numerous publications and was named one of the greatest albums of the ’90s by Rolling Stone.

Twenty-five years on, Moon Safari has lost none of its beguiling magic; it’s a mood that invites you to lose yourself in the music forever.

Beth Hart (POSTPONED)

FRIDAY 9 FEBRUARY

Unfortunately, the upcoming Beth Hart tour scheduled for February is not going ahead. Beth is taking time to look after her health and well-being and we wish her all the best and cannot wait to see her back on our shores and hitting the stage soon!

Please see statement from Beth below:

“I regret to inform you that I must cancel my upcoming appearances in Australia due to ongoing health concerns, particularly related to my mental well-being.

My health condition prevented me from boarding my flight today to begin my tour as planned. This decision comes after careful consideration and consultation with my doctors, as I have been under their care since October. Managing bipolar disorder has been challenging, and prioritizing my health is crucial at this time.

The management of my medication became more challenging in the last week, and despite my efforts to make the tour work, I need to focus on my recovery.

Your support means the world to me, and I deeply apologize for any disappointment this may cause. I was looking forward to sharing in the energy and passion for music with you all. I promise to make it up to you once I am in better health.

Thank you for understanding, and I appreciate your continued support.”

We are actively exploring options to reschedule and kindly request your patience. Please retain your tickets, and we will provide updates as soon as possible.

Snoop Dogg

SNOOP DOGG TOUR IS BACK ON!
PLUS THREE MASSIVE NEW SHOWS ADDED, WITH D12 & VERSATILE!

Second shows added in Sydney and Melbourne, plus a new date in Adelaide due to huge demand!

Finally, the wait is over and Californian Hip Hop icon Snoop Dogg has officially announced brand new dates for his massive upcoming tour down under, including adding extra shows in Sydney and Melbourne to meet overwhelming demand.

Kicking off in Perth at RAC Arena on 27 February 2023, Snoop Dogg will then head to Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena for two huge shows before performing two shows at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, a massive show at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre before wrapping up the tour with a brand new show in Adelaide on March 08.

Snoop Dogg, who hasn’t performed in Australia since 2014 when he headlined the Big Day Out, will return to Australian shores in 2023 for his ‘I WANNA THANK ME’ tour, which will see the West Coast rap legend celebrate the release of his 17th album ‘I Wanna Thank Me’, and documentary of the same name, released in 2019.

While the ‘I Wanna Thank Me’ documentary celebrates 25 years of Snoop Dogg – a career that has seen the Doggfather cement his undisputed influence on music with chart-topping, multi-platinum records, while also solidifying his importance as a cultural icon, actor and businessman – the upcoming Australian tour will be all about the music!

Hailed by Rolling Stone as ‘America’s Most Lovable Pimp; a hip-hop star that has survived gangsta rap, charmed Hollywood and won over soccer moms – a hip-hop family man who’s evolved from consummate thug to ultimate mack’, Snoop Dogg remains one of the most important figures in music, almost three decades into his career.

He’s roasted Donald Trump on national television, baked brownies with Martha Stewart, co-headlined the Superbowl Half Time Show and collaborated with a list of celebrities that includes 2Pac, Pharrell Williams, Dr Dre, Eminem, Warren G, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and many more.

Despite immediately turning heads with his appearance on Dr. Dre’s iconic album The Chronic in 1992, few could have predicted the meteoric rise of the California local; 17 studio albums, 17 Grammy nominations and tens of millions of record sales, plus appearances in acclaimed movies and TV shows and his own burgeoning cannabis business.

From playing piano at his local baptist church in Long Beach, to becoming one of the world’s most recognised, revered and respected artists….and he’s not even close to retiring. Get ready for Snoop Dogg Australia!
