ValleyWays

Celebrating a decade of making music together, today The Rubens have announced ValleyWays, the band’s own festival in their hometown of Camden.

The festival will take place at Onslow Oval on Feb 19 & will see the five-piece band perform alongside a carefully curated line-up of Aussie artists.

After a career-defining 2021, which included the release of their #1 ARIA fourth album 0202, an AMP & ARIA Award nomination, accreditations for hits ‘Live In Life’ (triple platinum in AUS), ‘Masterpiece’ (gold in AUS and NZ), ‘Never Ever (feat. Sarah)’ (triple platinum in AUS) and selling over 23,000 tickets to their 0202 album tour despite the challenges faced by COVID, The Rubens massive 12 months that has just past, and even bigger 12 months ahead, is a testament to their 10-year career. 2022 will mark a decade since the release of the band’s debut album The Rubens, which went Platinum and ValleyWays will kick off a massive year on the road.

The ethos behind the festival is to bring the best musical and creative talent to the band’s backyard and build on the live music culture that exists in the Macarthur region by incubating local talent and providing them a platform to play in front of big audiences and learn from their peers. The band plan on hosting the event in their hometown on an annual basis.

Joining The Rubens are Aussie heavyweights Skegss, Middle Kids, Slowly Slowly, BLESSED, Stevan, Becca Hatch, Hollie Col, The Dardi Shades & Grace Amos.

The final spot on the line-up is up for grabs with triple j Unearthed giving one lucky artist/band the chance to join the ValleyWays line-up. Details of this will be announced in January 2022.

*********************************

Loud, crass and completely unapologetic; James Smith will change your life on his new tour which takes aim at toxic myths within our current ways of thinking and dismantles everything we think we know about the path to feeling fulfilled, being happy and going after success.

The world’s fastest-growing online author and personal trainer James Smith is back to expose the lies we’re made to believe living the “normal life” and to change the way you think about it.

Having grown up just outside of London England James, who has an international following, has announced that he’ll once again be hitting the road in Australia, to deliver another honest, unapologetic and outspoken, yet erudite, authentic and endlessly passionate talk about your future life, and his.

After a run of multiple sell out shows in cities around Australia in 2019, James Smith will take to huge indoor venues in 2021 to dismantle your current thoughts with hard-hitting home truths mixed with a significant dose of tough love on the way, he’s not here to solve your problems, but to reset your thought processes.

Smith, who has more than one million social media followers, said: “I’m incredibly excited to be hitting the road in Australia again. Not A Life Coach will hopefully bring a different perspective to how readers perceive their own mindset. In a world where people are so caught up with how they look they can often overlook how they feel, how they see the world, how they see success and how they judge their own progress. I will show people how to accomplish more, and how to have a different outlook on life with every chapter. From mental wealth, relationships and motivation, to uncovering why playing it safe by societies standards can be tremendously risky. I’m not your life coach, but I reckon I can change your life”.

The follow up to James Smith’s international number one bestseller ‘Not a Diet Book’, which hit number one on the Sunday Times bestseller list and sold more than 250,000 copies is also set to land in late 2020.

‘Not A Life Coach’ will cover everything from Self-worth, mental ‘wealth’ all the way to comfort zones and escapism, values, success, limiting beliefs and even relationships will also be covered in the book, providing readers with a sneak preview of what’s to come in James Smith’s upcoming live shows

Steelpanther

‘HEAVY METAL RULES’
TOUR RE-SCHEDULED UNTIL OCTOBER 2022

Due to ongoing restrictions placed on international travel, Steel Panther‘s Heavy Metal Rules Australia and New Zealand tour dates (with special guests Sevendust on the Australian dates) have been re-scheduled until October 2022! MJR Presents are bringing the Metal Mayhem down under later than expected, but better late than pregnant, ahem, never!

Don’t think of it as being let down by a lover, think of it as your lover extending, teasing and delaying your pleasure until you can take it no more and you crave their smooth, heavy-metal riff-laden touch and beg for more! That’s the kind of considerate lovers Steel Panther are. It’s not like they are out playing other shows and cheating on you, right? They Are? Oh.

October 2022 will FINALLY (!) see the wildest, wettest, dirtiest, hardest, heaviest most rocking heavy metal tour to hit Australian shores ever in the history of anything – EVER. MJR Presents are bringing Steel Panther to Australia once again for a Heavy Metal Party the likes of which have never been seen by human eyes and they are bringing none other than their US mates Sevendust along for the party! This tour STILL marks the largest venues that Steel Panther will have played in Australia due to growing demand every time they return down under.

In true Oprah style, you feel the steel! You feel the steel! EVERYBODY gets to FEEL THE STEEL because HEAVY METAL RULES!

The ‘HEAVY METAL RULES TOUR’ in October 2022 will drop anchor in New Zealand at Powerstation on Monday, October 17th, quickly get dressed, and then dash across the ditch to meet up with Sevendust and double-team Australia –  Wednesday 19th October at Newcastle Entertainment Centre, Friday 21st October at Hordern Pavilion, Sydney and then up to the mini-fest at Eaton’s Hill Hotel, Brisbane on Saturday 22nd October before finishing up the tour on the 23rd October at Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne!

Brisbane fans will be treated to an expanded, extended, made bigger and girthier. Joining the line-up at Eatons Hill are Brisbane’s favourite rock sons Dead Letter Circus, Brissy party pirates Lagerstein, NZ’s metal sensations Devilskin, and Sydney rough rifflords Bare Bones!

Steel Panther‘s Heavy Metal Rules Australian and New Zealand tour dates (with special guests Sevendust on the Australian dates) are now officially rescheduled until October 2022!

For the uninitiated, Steel Panther was formed in 2000 and is comprised of Michael Starr (lead singer), Satchel (guitarist), Lexxi Foxx (bass) and Stix Zadinia (drums). Hailing from Los Angeles, the epicenter for rock n’ roll in all its debauchery and glamour, Steel Panther has established themselves as the world’s premier party band, melding hard rock virtuosity with parody and criminally good looks. Steel Panther is a global phenomenon with four full-length albums, touring across the world, platinum-level YouTube status, and a #13 debut for the new album Heavy Metal Rules on the ARIA charts. Rolling Stone avowed, “There’s a reason Steel Panther have transcended their origins as a cover band playing the Sunset Strip,” while Metal Sucks declared, “Steel Panther’s concept is genius…their songwriting is…preposterously snappy – and relatable.”

Along for the ride are Sevendust, who were last here in 2019 on their tour celebrating the 2018 album ‘All I See is War’. While demonstrating their musical mastery accumulated over more than 25 years as a band and simultaneously destroying all expectations for their live show, Sevendust show no signs of slowing down. To this day, the connection between fans and the GRAMMY® Award-nominated gold-certified hard rock outfit only grows stronger. They released their latest album ‘Blood & Stone’ in October 2020 through Rise Records.

Current ticket holders do not need to do anything! Your tickets will be valid for the new dates! If you can no longer attend (and you will be missed!) please contact your ticketing point of purchase for a refund!
Please rest assured that Steel Panther, MJR Presents and all venues will be holding these events in the most COVID-Safe manner as possible. We will be regularly reviewing the restrictions and ensuring that the show is compliant of the requirements at the time of the show.
