ValleyWays

Dear ValleyWays friends,

Following the recent announcement from the NSW government imposing restrictions on events that include dancing and singing, we have made the tough decision to postpone ValleyWays to September to ensure the event is delivered as it was originally envisioned.

For many years, we have dreamt of running ValleyWays in our hometown of Camden & we are devastated to have to postpone the event. With the current restrictions in place, we would not be able to put on an event to the standard we had intended, and we are unwilling to compromise on our offering for the artists & fans. Whilst disappointed to have to postpone the event, we are excited to have been able to secure a new date in September to bring this festival to our hometown & we look forward to seeing everyone there!

ValleyWays will now be held on Saturday, September 10th, 2022, at Onslow Oval. The original lineup are all available to play which is also great news.

All tickets sold for the previous event will remain valid for the new date & we encourage all patrons to hold onto their tickets. Those that can’t make the new date can contact Ticketek directly for a full refund via the email received by all ticket purchasers today. Please lodge your refund request by February 4, 2022.

We can’t thank you enough for the enthusiasm and support for the event.

Stay safe & we look forward to seeing you later in the year.

———————————

Celebrating a decade of making music together, today The Rubens have announced ValleyWays, the band’s own festival in their hometown of Camden.

The festival will take place at Onslow Oval on Feb 19 & will see the five-piece band perform alongside a carefully curated line-up of Aussie artists.

After a career-defining 2021, which included the release of their #1 ARIA fourth album 0202, an AMP & ARIA Award nomination, accreditations for hits ‘Live In Life’ (triple platinum in AUS), ‘Masterpiece’ (gold in AUS and NZ), ‘Never Ever (feat. Sarah)’ (triple platinum in AUS) and selling over 23,000 tickets to their 0202 album tour despite the challenges faced by COVID, The Rubens massive 12 months that has just past, and even bigger 12 months ahead, is a testament to their 10-year career. 2022 will mark a decade since the release of the band’s debut album The Rubens, which went Platinum and ValleyWays will kick off a massive year on the road.

The ethos behind the festival is to bring the best musical and creative talent to the band’s backyard and build on the live music culture that exists in the Macarthur region by incubating local talent and providing them a platform to play in front of big audiences and learn from their peers. The band plan on hosting the event in their hometown on an annual basis.

Joining The Rubens are Aussie heavyweights Skegss, Middle Kids, Slowly Slowly, BLESSED, Stevan, Becca Hatch, Hollie Col, The Dardi Shades & Grace Amos.

The final spot on the line-up is up for grabs with triple j Unearthed giving one lucky artist/band the chance to join the ValleyWays line-up. Details of this will be announced in January 2022.

PRESENTED BY TRIPLE J, THE RUBENS, TEG Live, MJR & Destination NSW

Next Exit Festival

‘NEXT EXIT FESTIVAL’ ANNOUNCES HUGE LINE-UP FOR INAUGURAL EVENT
Australia’s newest music festival celebrates local talent and highlights regional towns in its debut year!

ALL SHOWS SELLING FAST –   http://bit.ly/NEFonsale TICKETS ONLY $89+BF

NEXT EXIT Festival, the latest edition to the Australian festival circuit, has officially unveiled the line-up for its inaugural event today, jam packed with local Aussie talent.

The announcement also includes a pledge from the promoters to shine a light on not only Australian music but regional towns across New South Wales, ensuring that live music reaches fans outside of Australia’s capital cities during such a challenging time for the country.

Setting its sights on the road less travelled, NEXT EXIT Festival includes four new events that will take place in regional locations across NSW this May, with live music from psych-rock outfit Ocean Alley, Spacey Jane, which recently became the highest-ranking Australian artist of the Hottest 100, Northern Beaches four-piece Dear Seattle, NSW local Merci, Mercy and sister duo CLEWS.

Kicking off in Bicentennial Park in Tamworth on Friday 21 May, the full festival line-up will make its way around regional NSW, with additional shows in Port Macquarie, Gosford and Batemans Bay, before finishing up in the picturesque surrounds of the Mudgee Showgrounds in Mudgee.

NEXT EXIT, which takes place over two weekends in May, will place an emphasis on engaging local businesses to partake in the event, with a goal to drive economic activity, encourage regional tourism and highlight local tastemakers and artisans.

After only a scattering of shows in the last six months, most of them in capital cities, we are super excited to be touring with Next Exit Festival to four awesome spots across country and coastal New South Wales. Said Ocean Alley’s Mitch Galbraith.

We spend most of our time working and relaxing near the coast so we love playing in smaller cities anywhere near the water. We also get to take our show out west to Mudgee and Tamworth and we’re stoked to visit the states interior and have some good times with the folks there. These regional places are so much fun to tour because of the locals that are so welcoming and always up for a good old town blowout. Their support means we can keep coming back to play shows and festivals and give these awesome places the live music experience they deserve.

We pass so many ‘Next Exit’ signs on the highway and often drive past with only our destination in sight,” said MJR Presents’ Head Of Touring Australia, Scott Mesiti.

“The original concept for ‘NEXT EXIT’ Festival was to help bushfire-affected towns, regenerate tourism and hire as many local suppliers as possible. So much has happened since then but our aim remains the same. We have designed a safe festival that can be delivered under current restrictions and will employ many people from our industry who have sat on the sidelines for too long.

In late 2019 and early 2020, New South Wales was subject to some of the worst bushfires in Australian history. As of 28 January 2020, the fires in NSW had burnt 5.3 million hectares (6.7% of the State), including 2.7 million hectares in national parks (37% of the State’s national park estate), and were responsible for countless millions of dollars in damages to businesses.

NEXT EXIT Festival has been made possible by being a successful applicant of RISE funding, which will allow MJR Presents to deliver an affordable for regional communities across New South Wales in 2021.

*********************************

Loud, crass and completely unapologetic; James Smith will change your life on his new tour which takes aim at toxic myths within our current ways of thinking and dismantles everything we think we know about the path to feeling fulfilled, being happy and going after success.

The world’s fastest-growing online author and personal trainer James Smith is back to expose the lies we’re made to believe living the “normal life” and to change the way you think about it.

Having grown up just outside of London England James, who has an international following, has announced that he’ll once again be hitting the road in Australia, to deliver another honest, unapologetic and outspoken, yet erudite, authentic and endlessly passionate talk about your future life, and his.

After a run of multiple sell out shows in cities around Australia in 2019, James Smith will take to huge indoor venues in 2021 to dismantle your current thoughts with hard-hitting home truths mixed with a significant dose of tough love on the way, he’s not here to solve your problems, but to reset your thought processes.

Smith, who has more than one million social media followers, said: “I’m incredibly excited to be hitting the road in Australia again. Not A Life Coach will hopefully bring a different perspective to how readers perceive their own mindset. In a world where people are so caught up with how they look they can often overlook how they feel, how they see the world, how they see success and how they judge their own progress. I will show people how to accomplish more, and how to have a different outlook on life with every chapter. From mental wealth, relationships and motivation, to uncovering why playing it safe by societies standards can be tremendously risky. I’m not your life coach, but I reckon I can change your life”.

The follow up to James Smith’s international number one bestseller ‘Not a Diet Book’, which hit number one on the Sunday Times bestseller list and sold more than 250,000 copies is also set to land in late 2020.

‘Not A Life Coach’ will cover everything from Self-worth, mental ‘wealth’ all the way to comfort zones and escapism, values, success, limiting beliefs and even relationships will also be covered in the book, providing readers with a sneak preview of what’s to come in James Smith’s upcoming live shows

STEEL PANTHER ANNOUNCE HEAPS AND LOADS TOUR 2022!

WITH NEW SPECIAL GUESTS ‘AIRBOURNE’

*Airbourne not playing NZ

After two long years of on-again, off-again, more on-again, more off-again announcements, the world’s most beloved big haired heavy metal outfit Steel Panther have officially confirmed new dates for what is set to be the wildest, wettest, dirtiest, hardest, heaviest most rocking heavy metal tour to land in Australia.

Having previously announced shows for 2020, and then 2021, Steel Panthers forthcoming Australian tour will now take place in October 2022, and will also feature support from legendary Victorian outfit Airbourne, who will be replacing Sevendust.

In addition to hitting massive venues across the country with Victorian band Airbourne Steel Panther will also be turning their Brisbane show into a mini-festival, featuring Dead Letter Circus, Devilskin, Lagerstien and Bare Bones!

The ‘HEAPS & LOADS’ tour marks the largest venues that Steel Panther will have ever played in Australia. Due to growing demand every time they return down under, mixed with countless rave reviews, the Californian outfit will be landing in Newcastle, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne for a handful of enormous shows!

For the uninitiated, Steel Panther was formed in 2000 and is comprised of Michael Starr (lead singer), Satchel (guitarist), and Stix Zadinia (drums). Hailing from Los Angeles, the epicenter for rock n’ roll in all its debauchery and glamour, Steel Panther has established themselves as the world’s premier party band, melding hard rock virtuosity with parody and criminally good looks. Steel Panther is a global phenomenon with five full-length albums, touring across the world, platinum-level YouTube status and a #13 debut for the latest album Heavy Metal Rules on the ARIA charts.

Rolling Stone avowed, “There’s a reason Steel Panther have transcended their origins as a cover band playing the Sunset Strip,” while Metal Sucks declared, “Steel Panther’s concept is genius…their songwriting is…preposterously snappy – and relatable.”

“After blazing through Europe and rocking 100,000 strong soldout crowds together at gargantuan festivals like Hellfest, Download, we’re finally bringing the mega Hard Rock & Heavy Metal party of the year down to Oz! If you love POWER CHORDS, POWER DRINKING and POWER ROCKING then YOU ARE INVITED to the Airbourne and Steel Panther POWER PARTY!! Rock you HARD in ROCKTOBER!!” – Airbourne

James Smith

CONTROVERSIAL PERSONAL TRAINER JAMES SMITH ANNOUNCES FIRST EVER SPEAKING TOUR OF AUSTRALIA

Loud, crass and completely unapologetic; James Smith takes aim at influencers, fake fitness bloggers and dangerous health fads in his “Live and Uncensored” Tour.

Opinionated, blunt and often described as the ‘Gordon Ramsay of the fitness world’, personal trainer and self-proclaimed disrupter of the fitness industry James Smith is far removed from the squeaky clean, evenly rounded fitness models seen in instagram feeds around the world. He’s the blunt, no-BS media star turning the entire fitness world on its head, calling out liars and putting facts first, and now he’s heading around Australia to shed a light fitness truths and industry lies, alongside the release of his debut book ‘Not A Diet Book’, scheduled for January 2020.

With shows planned for Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth, the British fitness star and author will walk audiences through his incredible journey so far, from door to door salesmen to becoming one of the world’s fastest growing and most controversial figures in fitness. He’ll also be shedding light on common misconceptions within the industry, from fitness fads to flat out lies; taking aim at instagram models promoting useless brands to paid partnerships, pseudo-science, narcissism and the hazards of spreading misinformation and selling a dream.

“Buzzing to announce my first ever events on Australian soil” Said James Smith “An evening with me won’t make you leaner or more muscular but it will empower you to make subtle changes to your life that will last with you forever. Anyone for a beer afterwards?

Before becoming famous for the brutally honest form of PT he’s known for today, James Smith – like almost 73% of Australians – struggled with body issues, and attempted to navigate the complex world of fitness both personally and for his clients. After years of frustration with the industry he has now become the number one disrupter of the multi-billion dollar industry that has been dishing out lies to unaware people for decades. James Smith made the decision to use his knowledge for good over commercial gain.

In his debut speaking tour – much like his renowned videos – James will give his unique take on health and fitness, providing simple advice designed to cut through wellness, myths and marketing and rely on fact and common sense.

‘ELVIS-THEMED’ NIRVANA TRIBUTE ACT ‘ELVANA’ ANNOUNCE DEBUT AUSTRALIAN TOUR TO GET YOU ALL SHOOK UP!

The King Is Back, and he’s playing grunge!

Fresh from sell out shows at The O2, Albert Hall and main-stage appearances at both the legendary Download Festival and the iconic Glastonbury Festival, the world’s best – and only – Elvis Themed Nirvana tribute act ‘ELVANA’ have today announced their debut Australian tour.

From Seattle to Mississippi, to the bowels of Disgraceland, ELVANA’s Australian tour is set to raise music icons from the dead; rock & Roll will finally collide with grunge and the 1950’s will well and truly come alive as Elvis replaces Kurt and Nirvana get a front man wrapped head to toe in red leather and blue sequins.

What started as little more than a joke, with four friends from North-East England forming an Elvis fronted Nirvana tribute act for a fancy dress party, has now snowballed into a completely unique live experience that has taken the world by storm. Comprising of Elvis,Danny Cobain, Rob Novoselic and Bobby Grohl, ELVANA takes audiences on a journey through Nirvana’s catalogue whilst splicing in grunged up sections of the king of Rock & Roll finest moments, culminating in an audible orgasm of overdrive old school Rockabilly. It smells like teen spirit, tastes like fools gold and sounds like nothing you’ve heard before!

“Ladies and gentleman of Australiashire! You are about to witness something you’ve never ever seen before… In a good way! We couldn’t be any more excited to bring our lil’ show down under and boy are we gonna have one hell of a time!? Come as you are, mate”Said Elvana frontman “Elvis.

The world has seen Nudist Priest (a hairy, naked version of Judas Priest), they tolerated Tragedy, the all- metal Bee Gees tribute act and smiled politely at the concept of Okilly Dokilly, a Ned Flanders themed band, but fans of rock & roll haven’t yet experienced the polished (but intensely sweaty) live performance of ELVANA; a journey through Nirvana’s catalogue with the addition of grunged-up sections of Elvisí finest moments, culminating in a mega mash-up of hits from two of the world’s most acclaimed acts.

Kicking off in Perth in May 2020, ELVANA are set to get Australian audiences All Shook Up, as they take their unique blend of 1950’s inspired grunge-rock antics around the country for the very first time, with shows planned for Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.

Tickets for Elvana’s debut Australian tour go on sale at 10:00AM [AEDT]  Friday 06 December via Mjrpresents.com
