KIM PETRAS ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL SHOWS AND VENUE UPGRADES!

Having sold out both headline shows in Australia within just hours of going on sale, Kim Petras announces additional Australian shows and increases venues sizes to keep up with ticket demand.

Fans in Brisbane will now have the chance to catch Kim Petras at Eatons Hill Hotel, where she will be supporting UK pop sensation Rita Ora, alongside Sammi Constantine.

Sydney and Melbourne fans that missed out on the first release, will now have a second chance at snatching up tickets with a venue upgrade in Sydney and an additional show in at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club.

The additional dates come after Kim’s recent announcement for the 2019 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

The German pop-star, who is already well-known for transitioning publicly at a very young age, took the music industry by storm, landing the #1 spot on Spotify’s Viral Top 50, collaborating with Charli XCX, Cheat Codes and SOPHIE, and securing tour supports with Troye Sivan.

Fans in both Sydney and Melbourne that are lucky enough to snap up tickets, will have the rare opportunity of catching global hits like ‘1,2,3 dayz up (Feat. SOPHIE)’, ‘I Don’t Want It All’ and ‘Heart Break’ in intimate venues, unlikely to be booked again.

I can’t wait to finally get out to Australia’ Said Kim Petras, ‘I’ve always wanted to head over to check out the Sydney Mardis Gras. Performing shows while I’m in the country is another huge plus!”

The legendary Sevendust returns to Australia and New Zealand in April 2019 – presented by MJR Presents and 24/7 Metal and Rock station/app The FactionSevendust are coming to celebrate their 2018 Rise Records release All I See Is War – a record that has energised fans all over the world.

The iconic five-piece hard rock/metal outfit will visit Auckland, NZ’s Powerstation Tuesday 23rd April, then head on to Australia, kicking off the AU leg Thursday 25th April at The Tivoli, Brisbane, then on to The Metro in Sydney on Friday 26 April, The Forum in Melbourne on the 27th, The Gov in Adelaide on the 29th and then finish the tour in Perth at Capitol on the 30th April.

Hysteria Mag said that All I See is War is “…heavy, angry yet vulnerable … the reasons why Sevendust continue to resonate with an ever-widening audience“. Guitarist for the band, Clint Lowery, says of their extremely dedicated fanbase – “We take pride in the connection we have – We’ve always been a people’s band. We’re typical guys who just happen to make a career on stage. With this relationship to the fans, we realize how much we need each other, so we push ourselves to deliver. We don’t stop. We keep moving.

Sevendust first forged a familial tie amongst each other in 1994 that translated into one of the most die-hard audiences in the game. To this day, the connection between fans and the GRAMMY® Award-nominated gold-certified hard rock outfit only grows stronger. For their twelfth full-length and first release for Rise Records All I See Is War, the quintet—Lajon Witherspoon [lead vocals], Clint Lowery [lead guitar, backing vocals], John Connolly [rhythm guitar, backing vocals], Vince Hornsby [bass], and Morgan Rose [drums] – did the best thing they could possibly do to combat all of the division in the streets and on social media; they went and made a Sevendust record—just bigger, ballsier, and bolder than before – and they couldn’t be more excited to bring it to Australia and New Zealand.

A trifecta of now-classic gold albums—Sevendust [1997], Home [1999], and Animosity [2001]— ignited their journey. Known as an equally intense and unforgettable live force, they’ve consistently packed houses around the world and decimated stages everywhere from Rock on the Range and Woodstock to OZZfest and Shiprocked! 2015’s Kill The Flaw represented a high watermark. Bowing at #13 on the Billboard Top 200, it scored their highest debut on the respective chart since 2010 and marked their fifth consecutive Top 10 on the Top Rock Albums Chart and third straight Top 3 on the Hard Rock Albums Chart. Most impressively, the lead single “Thank You” garnered a nomination in the category of “Best Metal Performance” at the 2016 GRAMMY® Awards, a career first. All I See Is War represents yet another new beginning and new point of connection for fans.

James

MJR in Association with Solo and Vector Presents

After selling out their first ever trip to Australia in 2016, James are preparing for a triumphant return in 2018 with their ‘Living in Extraordinary Times Tour’. This time the band are sporting a brand-new album ‘Living in Extraordinary Times” as well as all their swag of British classics.

James’ 1993 hit ‘Laid’ became the soundtrack to early 90s alternative radio before finding a second life through its use in teen hit American Pie films. James had already had a decade of hits by the time Laid arrived, having risen from Manchester’s legendary Factory Records scene into one of the biggest UK bands in the world by the dawn of the 90s. With alternative hits in Australia including Laid, Sit Down, Sound, Getting Away With It (All Messed Up), She’s a Star and Just Like Fred Astaire, and selling over 25 million records worldwide, the band were triple j staples for over fifteen years, yet took nearly three decades to hit Australian shores.

2016 saw the release of Girl at the End of the World, their most commercially and critically successful album for nearly twenty years, which came close to knocking Adele’s 25 off the prized number 1 spot of the UK album chart.

With sell out shows, great reviews and mad fans, some travelling across Australia to ensure they didn’t miss a single show, a return visit was inevitable.

‘Looking forward to playing to the boys and the girls at the end of the world again (from our corner of the world). if you enjoyed our last trip, evangelize this one to your friends, and we can make this a regular liaison,’ said Tim Booth.

“The vibe in every room was just electric and every night was different to the last. We can’t wait to get back there and do it all again, this time with our ‘Living in Extraordinary Times’ record.” said Jim Glennie.

The album seems to touch upon contemporary fissures in society, with Tim Booth commenting: “We knew something was up when Leicester city won the league then Brexit, then Trump. It is as if we’d slipped into an alternate reality, a Philip K Dick reality. We are living in extraordinary times.”

The tour will visit Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth as well as taking James to Adelaide for the very first time.

“Sometimes rounds off James’s first ever Australian gig and there wouldn’t be many in the audience who didn’t feel privileged to be there.” – The Sydney Morning Herald

“As the band left the stage for the final time, they promised not to wait 35 years next time. Let’s hope they hold true to their word.” – Scenestr

“Australia has really been missing out. It’s taken 34 years for Manchester alt-rockers James to visit Australia, but they made it worth the wait.” – The West Australian

ENGELBERT HUMPERDINCK

ON SALE NOW!

Engelbert Humperdinck – the legendary live entertainer – has announced his eagerly anticipated return down under, with ‘The Man I Want To Be Tour,’ set to land in theatres around Australia and New Zealand in March 2019.

Returning for the first time since his sold out run in 2015, Engelbert will be performing in iconic theatres around the country, from Sydney’s State Theatre to Melbourne’s Palais, showcasing music from his latest record “50”, as well seminal hits like “Quando Quando Quando”, “Release Me”, “A Man Without Love”, “The Last Waltz” and “Am I That Easy To Forget”.

Despite growing up extraordinarily shy and the youngest of ten children, Engelbert Humperdinck skyrocketed to fame in 1967, after his single ‘Release Me’ famously blocked The Beatles from a scoring the number one chart position with their new track ‘Penny Lane’. Following on from 50 weeks in the UK charts, the Leicester based entertainer continued his meteoric rise to fame, becoming a sex symbol to women across the globe and delivering one of the most iconic voices of his generation.

With a career spanning almost 50 years, Engelbert amassed 64 Gold albums, 35 Platinum records, four Grammy nominations, a Gold Globe and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has performed for the Queen four times, for several presidents, alongside music legends like Ray Charles, Tom Jones and Dean Martin and remains one of few musicians alive today, able to have called Elvis a close friend.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to spend an intimate night with Engelbert.
